About Jeffreys Albright , M.D., FAAOS
Dr. Albright grew up ski-racing and developed an interest in sports injuries and their treatment. It was this interest in the treatment of bones and joints that led to his decision to become an orthopedic surgeon. Today, Dr. Albright enjoys meeting new people, talking to them and connecting on a personal level. He enjoys helping people get better and helping them feel comfortable while dealing with a stressful situation. To him, that’s what makes a successful visit. He wants to know how the injury affects the patient and what their personal goals are. He likes to try all nonsurgical options first. Surgery is the last resort. He enjoys the technical challenges of surgery and is a perfectionist who continuously strives to improve his surgical techniques.
He wants every patient to experience the highest possible standard of care. He wants to make them feel comfortable and satisfied that they chose to trust him to help them meet their goals. He enjoys chatting with and getting to know his patients and he enjoys listening and understanding each patient’s unique story.
Dr. Albright completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and is a specialist in treating injuries of the knee and shoulder. He is an expert in treating meniscus injuries, patellar instability, acl tears, shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears and labral tears. When patients have degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis in the shoulder or knee, he is able to conservatively treat patients with pain relieving injections or as they progress to chronic pain, he provides arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee replacements to relieve the pain of arthritis.
Dr. Albright grew up ski racing in Michigan and raced at Dartmouth College. While he was in medical school he coached for a junior ski racing program. He also had a love of windsurfing and he spent his summers in the Gorge perfecting his windsurfing skills. In fact, in 2016, Dr. Albright won the overall Masters title on the American Windsurfing Tour. Today, he still loves skiing and windsurfing and also enjoys snowboarding, surfing, stand-up paddlesurfing and mountain biking. Dr. Albright also enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters and traveling.
